Our hero Who
is coming back
His promise sure
His Word not slack
Foretold at His ascension
These words for you
if Jesus you lack
give Him your full attention
With fire in His eyes
and a sword on his thigh
His garments dipped in red
Splitting eastern skies
Answering all of our “Whys?”
Giving the devils their dread
with many crowns upon His head
fulfilling all that He has said
First raising the saints
but leaving the aints
our earthly bodies will be shed
Joining them in the air
where His glory we’ll share
like Christ and the prophets have said
He’s coming again
for all who received
who’ve called upon His name
Those who truly believe
eternal life will relieve
Heavenly home is their gain
With trumpet sound
we’ll all leave the ground
stunning doubters' eyes
When that day arrives
dispelling satanic lies
while heathens weep and cry
for the real Lord Jesus Christ
